Local and Loved: Meet Our Ingredient Suppliers
At Simply Ice Cream, every scoop begins with the belief that quality ingredients make all the difference. That’s why we go out of our way to source as many of our ingredients as possible from local suppliers right here in the South East.
By partnering with farmers and producers who share our values, we’re able to create ice cream that doesn’t just taste good - it does good too.
Why Local Sourcing Matters to Us
Supporting local isn’t just a trend - it’s a way of keeping our supply chain transparent, sustainable, and community-focused. It means fresher ingredients, fewer food miles, and a real relationship with the people behind the produce.
Our dairy, for instance, comes from trusted Kent dairy farmers who care as much about animal welfare and product quality as we do. Their rich cream and fresh milk form the base of every flavour we make.
Some of Our Favourite Local Heroes
- Fruit Growers in Kent: From sun-ripened strawberries to seasonal apples, we love working with Kent’s incredible farms. Their produce is picked at peak ripeness and often goes from field to freezer within days.
- Preserves: Our Lemon Curd ice cream is made with sweet and tangy Lemon Curd from fellow local producer – The Wooden Spoon Co.
- Artisan Confectioners: For flavours like Peanut Brittle and Coffee & Cobnut Fudge, we collaborate with small-batch makers like Fudge Kitchen who produce real, high-quality treats - no mass-produced, factory stuff here.
Sustainability Through Sourcing
Choosing local means more than just fresher ingredients - it’s a more sustainable approach overall. With fewer delivery miles and reduced packaging needs, we’re able to lower our environmental footprint while keeping our recipes true to our values.
Keeping It in the Community
When you buy Simply Ice Cream, you’re not just supporting us - you’re supporting a network of passionate growers and producers who pour the same love into their craft as we do.
Every time we collect a new batch of strawberries or open a jar of local lemon curd, we’re reminded that our ice cream is part of something bigger: a celebration of real food, made by real people, right here at home.
So next time you taste that burst of berry or crunchy peanut brittle, know that it's not just delicious - it’s local and loved.
