The Simply Ice Cream journey
At Simply Ice Cream we’ve been making our hand-whisked ice cream for over 15 years in the heart of the Kentish countryside. What started out as a side hustle for our founder, Sally Newall, quickly became a full-time business supplying lots of local independent retailers.
A former caterer and passionate cook, Sally’s mantra has always been to cook from scratch with great quality ingredients. She began making her signature honeycomb ice cream for her catering jobs and got such great feedback (and personal requests) that she saw a wider opportunity to sell it beyond friends and family.
Fast forward nearly two decades and Simply Ice Cream can be found in over 450 outlets throughout London and the Southeast. We have a loyal fan base who buy from us time and time again because they know what to expect from our luxury ice cream.
Why are we a luxury ice cream?
Our ice cream is hand-whisked using high quality ingredients that we source locally wherever we can. Each tub is made with 50% Kentish dairy cream, fruit grown in Kent and other ingredients from Kentish suppliers (Fudge Kitchen, The Wooden Spoon Co etc). Our gingerbread and honeycomb ice creams are made with homemade gingerbread cookies and Sally’s personal honeycomb recipe.
We never use any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and you can find almost all of our ingredients in your own kitchen! Unlike most ice creams we aren’t ultra-processed. Lots of other ice cream brands contain emulsifiers and preservatives but we don’t see the need for these. Only real, natural and wholesome ingredients go into each and every one of our tubs.
Unique ice cream flavours
We offer all the family favourites like our Divine Chocolate, Sublime Strawberry and Dreamy Vanilla, but you’ll also find some unique and interesting flavours like our Brown Bread ice cream, Stem Ginger and Marmalade ice cream and Toffee Waffle Hazelnut ice cream.
